Workshop Objectives
Upon the successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:-

•  Have a very good background on electrical machines and be able to understand electrical devices, symbols and circuits

•  Learn the electric motor types and be able to describe & analyze their operations and performance

•  Understand the construction, operation and performance of 3-Phase AC induction motors

•  Emphasize the importance of motor speed control and become familiar with power electronic converters

•  Acquire in-depth knowledge on the protection of AC converters & motors, control systems for AC variable speed drives as well as the selection of AC converters

•  Review and improve the installation and commissioning of AC varibale speed drives

•  Recognize the role of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in motors & variable speed drives

•  Employ motor failure analysis and testing and be able to carry-out predictive maintenance techniques such as the vibration basics

•  Conduct machinery faults diagnosis & correction using vibration analysis and corrective measures

•  Apply bearing failure analysis and be able use the lubrication & oil analysis program

A permanent record of a participant's involvement and awarding of CEU will be maintained by Haward Technology. Haward Technology will provide a copy of the participant's CEU Transcript of Records upon request.

Workshop Fee
