Course Objectives
Upon the successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:-

•  Develop in-depth understanding of performance monitoring particularly the aspects of ASME test codes, curve based methods, additive performance factors and model-based performance analysis

•  Become familiar with heat balance analysis including the local heat balances and learn data validation by means of range checking, averaging sensor data and time averaging

•  Obtain accuracy of calculated results using the Monte Carlo method, instrument error and uncertainty of a calculated test results

•  Review & improve the overall power plant performance monitoring & economics by establishing performance standards & targets and recognize the impacts of degredation on overall plant performance

•  Identify the performance characteristics of turbines and understand the acceptance testing of turbines & auxiliary plant

•  Employ gas turbine, heat recovery steam generator & steam turbine performance and be able to recognize their importance in power plant performance & monitoring

•  Understand boiler performance characteristics and be able to improve boiler, fuel & combustion efficiency, boiler heat balance analysis and boiler degredation

•  Describe & carry-out air heater & feedwater performance and heighten knowledge on deaerators, drums and open heaters

•  Analyze the design & performance of steam surface condensers and become acquainted with condenser heat balance analysis, condenser ventilation, air cooler and ejector RAPs

•  Heighten awareness on cooling tower performance as well as inlet & exhaust pressure losses and be able to evaluate the procedure on pump performance

Course Certificate
Haward Technology certificate will be issued to all attendees completing minimum of 75% of the total tuition hours of the course.

Haward Technology Middle East will award 3.0 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for participants who completed the total tuition hours of this program. One CEU is equivalent to ten Professional Development Hours (PDHs) or ten contact hours of the participation in and completion of Haward Technology programs. A permanent record of a participant's involvement and awarding of CEU will be maintained by Haward Technology. Haward Technology will provide a copy of the participant's CEU Transcript of Records upon request.

Course Fee
US $ 3,750 per Delegate. This rate includes Participant's Pack (Folder, Manual, Hand-outs, etc.), buffet lunch, coffee/tea on arrival, morning & afternoon of each day.

Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the course fees. However, any accommodation required can be arranged by Haward Technology at the time of booking.
