Mr. David Morrison (UK) MSc, BSc is a Senior Inspection Engineer with over 35 years of extensive industrial experience within the Offshore & Onshore, Oil & Gas industry and Petrochemical and Power industries . His expertise includes, but not limited to, the inspection, repair, maintenance, fabrication, construction, reconstruction of Piping Systems, Tanks, Pressure Vessels & Equipments; Welding Inspection, NDT, Radiography, UT, MPI & Dye-Pen on Structural & Piping Components, and the Survey of offshore structures. Mr. Morrison is currently the Inspection Manager for Exxon Mobil where he spearheads RBI assessments, API 510, 570 & 653 Inspections and takes lead in activities within the distillation units and associated storage & offsite facilities, carrying out inspections of pressure vessels , piping and tanks in accordance with PSSR regulations and company procedures.

 
 

Throughout David's lengthy career life, he has worked with several international companies taking him all over Europe, the USA, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, extending his skills & knowledge in his field. Herein, he was heavily involved with numerous onshore and offshore projects including spills in platform construction yards at Ardersier, Nigg Bay and Kishorn; carrying out radiography, UT, MPI and dye-pen on structural and piping components; and on Offshore projects on fabrication and installation of jackets, deck sections and modules, including Piper Alpha, Forties & Ninian Central and on the Lehman fields in the Southern North Sea.

David is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector, API 570 Certified Piping Inspector, API 510 Certified Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 653 Certified Tank Inspecto, a member of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission, and further holds a Masters & Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Glasgow College (UK). He is a well-respected member of international organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute (API), the United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS), and the American Society for NonDestructive Testing (ASNT).
