Throughout Dr. Reeder 's lengthy career, he has worked closely with numerous large companies and organizations such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (with their Chemical Science& Technology Laboratory), the Centre for Analytical Chemistry & the Analytical Research Division– National Bureau of Standards (with their National Measurement Laboratory), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Previously, Dr. Reeder was also a Professor with the Georgetown University in Washington DC (USA).

Dr. Reeder has been the recipient of the United States Department of Commerce Silver Medal Award & the Bronze Medal Award for Meritorious Federal Service , the Whatman Award for Outstanding Contributions to DNA Technology , the Edward Bennett Rosa Award for providing quality assurance profiling measurements, and an Award for the Development of Standard Reference Material & Profiling Standard .
Dr. Reeder has a PhD and Masters in Chemistry & Microbiology and a Bachelors degree in Physics & Mathematics. He is an active member of the Electrophoresis Society , the Oversight Board for the US Armed Forces , the Advisory Board for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Forensic Identity (FID) DNA Proficiency Testing . He has seventy-three (73) Chemistry and Laboratory Management publications and reports in various recognized journals worldwide.
