Dr. Claude Lucchesi (USA) is the Consulting Director of the Analytical Laboratory Managers' Asssociation (ALMA) and a Senior Professor of the department of Chemistry in the Northern University, Evanston, Illinois, USA .

He has over 50 years of experience in the fields of Analytical Chemistry, Applied Spectroscopy, Polymers and Coatings, and Laboratory Organization and Management and he even established the analytical instrumentation laboratory of the Northern University . He has taught advanced laboratory practices and at the same time consulted for research faculty and industrial clients.

During his career life, Dr. Lucchesi worked for Mobil Chemical Coatings Division, in Metuchen, New Jersey as Manager for its Analytical and Physical Chemistry Department in 1961 to 1966 and then became a Manager for the Central Coatings Division in 1966 wherein he directed project in color technology and was responsible for efforts in specialty polymers, application technology, and analytical chemistry .

Dr. Lucchesi also worked for The Sherwin Williams Company in Chicago, Illinois as the very first Director for its newly formed Analytical Research Department in 1956. He had a staff of 16 involved in the analysis and characterization of coatings systems. His department was responsible for raw material and production quality assurance for paint factory of the Chicago plant. Before these, he also became the leader of the Spectroscopy Group of the Shell Development Company in Houston, Texas .

Dr. Lucchesi is the Co-founder of the Analytical Laboratory Managers Association (ALMA), American Chemical Society, Society for Applied Spectroscopy, Gas Chromatography Discussion Group of Chicago, Instrument Society of America, American Society for Testing and Materials, Federation of Societies of Paint Technology, American Association of University Professors . He also took part as chairman and editor of various organizations including Managing the Modern Laboratory in 1995, Analytical Lab Managers Association in 1980, American Chemical Society, Great Lakes Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society and the Society for Applied Spectroscopy .

Dr. Lucchesi has a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry and Masters and Bachelor Degrees in Chemistry . He has over 80 publications on analytical methods, applied spectroscopy, polymers and coatings, and laboratory management .
