Among the major projects he executed were the City Power Maintenance , Rectisol Basic Engineering , PolyPropylene 2 Detail Design , Duvha Power Station Trip Investigation , Sasol Secunda Network Analysis , Eskom 400kV Kieberg/Muldersvlei Line Commissioning , Sasol Secunda Sulphur Substation Replacement , Illovo Sugar Expansion Project , where he handled the design ; acceptance testing & commissioning ; replacement & maintenance of switchboards ; on-site evaluation ; measurements & calculations ; load flow , short circuit , transient stability & network analysis ; and the design & development of new power transformers , 33kV overhead line structures , 33/3.3kV bulk water pump station equipment as well as 11kV power station generators & associated switchgears .

Previously, he had also founded the Industrial Power Consulting ( IPC ) and executed projects on a Smelter Protection Grading , Network Analysis , Switchgear Design & Management and Medium & Low Voltage Equipment Protection . Earlier, Mr. Fourie was one of four Managers of the Technology House Unit . Herein, he delved much on Power System Protection , Network Design & Analysis and Substation Control & Data Acquisition ( SCADA ). He had likewise been greatly involved as the Lead Electrical Engineer for significant projects on substation commissioning , protection scheme design , maintenance procedures design , earthing investigation , automatic transfer schemes , tariff Metering and SCADA design specifications .

Mr. Fourie has Masters and Bachelors Degree in Electrical and Power Engineering . He is a Registered Professional Engineer and is a highly regarded member of the Engineering Council .
