He is currently the President of Captain Manders & Associates Company which provides consultancy services to the maritime, offshore oil & gas industries all over the world .

During his career life, Captain Manders was the Master for various dynamically positioned drillships, an Offshore Installation Manager and a Barge Engineer for several self-propelled, semi-submersible, floating drillings ( MODU's ). He has also served as a Captain in both the merchant marine and offshore industries including anchor-handling, tug and supply vessels . He also was the Captain of major derrick barges and dive support vessels . Over the years, he was able to work for various international companies namely Global Industries Offshore, Stolt Offshore, Edison Chouest, Diamond Offshore Drilling, Sonat, Ocean Drilling & Exploration, Tidewater Marine, Reynolds, Furness Shipping and Cunnard . Later, Captain Manders became a valuable marine consultant and instructor for several groups such as Noble Denton & Associates, American Global Maritime, Jim Wilkinson & Associates, Houston Marine International and C-Mar America before he founded and established Captain Manders & Associates .
