Mr. Robert Izdepski MSc , BSc ( USA) is an Undersea Oilfield & Commercial Diving Consultant with over 35 years of practical and industrial experience . His expertise lie mainly on Offshore Oilfield Diving ( Air , Mixed Gas and Saturation ); Underwater ( U/W ) Inspection and Repair ; Seagoing & Underwater Emergency Response Preparedness ; Accident Prevention & Mitigation in Hostile Environments ; Rigging & Inland Diving ; Hyperbaric , Wet Welding & Underwater Burning and Salvage . At present, he is the Undersea Oilfield Consultant for Twachtman , Snyder & Byrd , the premier global oil & gas facility providing offshore platform removal and well plugging integrated solutions .

Mr. Izdepski has been a preferred company representative for offshore oilfield diving and construction from 1976 . His diving experience includes inspection , offshore construction with heavy rigging and underwater welding/burning . He is the author of The Commercial Diver's Training Manual . With this revered experience , he has had invitations to speak before the International Meeting of the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society ; the South Pacific Underwater Medical Society ; and at the Tulane University and was the Key Note speaker in Merida , Mexico for the International Cave Diving Association . Much earlier in his career life, he had been a hyperbaric welder , a commercial saturation diver , a documentary video producer , offshore safety expert , pipe welding and fabrication investigator and a hyperbaric medicine consultant .

Considered one of the most prolific writers of the commercial and sport diving experience for the last 15 years , he has written about all the important aspects of the underwater experience with noteworthy skill and insight beginning with famous commercial diving magazine , THE WORKING DIVER and extending into his broad spectrum UNIVERSAL DIVER MAGAZINE .

Mr. Izdepski has a Masters degree in Hyperbaric Medicine and a Bachelors degree in Welding & Metallurgy . He is the President of the Sub-Ocean Safety Society , and has been an active and well-reputed member of the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) and the Hyperbaric Medical Society .
