Professor Eur Ing Tony Ingram (UK)  Eur Ing , B Eng , MSc , is an International Expert in Commercial Diving , Welding & Corrosion with over 30 years of extensive experience in Air/Gas/Saturation Diving , Corrosion in the Oil & Gas Industry , Non Destructive Testing ( NDT ), Underwater Welding Technology , Inspection , Maintenance and Hyperbaric & Atmospheric Welding of Sub-sea Pipelines & Offshore Structures , Air/Saturation Diving and Project Management in Europe , North America , South Africa , Asia and the Middle East .  
 
 

He is currently working as an Independent Senior Consultant providing seminar materials in the subjects of Welding & Corrosion operations , engineering contracts , Commercial Diving Technology, Underwater Inspection & Maintenance and Business Strategies to various companies world-wide. Concurrently, he is a post graduate supervisor and lecturer of Engineering & Business Management at the University of Warwick in the UK .

During his career life, Professor Ingram has been largely involved in the oilfield construction , civil engineering contracts , fixed platforms offshore , working from Dynamically Positioned Vessels ( DSV's ), lay barges and drilling platforms in diverse key roles which have taken him all over the world . He has vast experiences in MPI & Ultrasonic Inspection of platforms & pipelines, commissioning of platforms , hyperbaric welding of pipe , e xplosives & general marine growth removal in platform & shipping , design, construction and project management for welding fabrication and diving contracts . He has also been engaged in Corrosion , Metallic Coatings and Cathodic Protection. He has worked in numerous international companies such as Rockwater, Stena, Wharton Williams- Taylor (2WT), COMEX, SOLUS, Oceaneering , Dodin-Bougues Offshore, Amoco , Stolt Neilson Seaways , Elf-Aquitaine , AS Norse Comex , and Eniepsa among many others.

Professor Ingram has also been engaged in academe for many years. He has been a Research Fellow at the University Of Warwick and Research Assistant at Coventry University in the UK where he has developed a project known as REFIT ( Revitalisation of Expertise in Foundries using Info rmation Technology ). The principles and practices in this project were widely adapted to many other engineering sectors . While lecturing on manufacturing strategy , industrial project management , manufacturing technology & dynamics , Professor Ingram has developed a casting costing model , a risk analysis matrix and a parametric solid model design of a disc brake using a Pro Engineer and a visual basic front end to drive the model . Professor Ingram has worked as a consultant at the National Business to Business Centre at the University of Warwick in the UK .

Professor Ingram has Masters and Bachelors degrees in Engineering (Manufacturing & Management) . He is a Certified European Engineer and an active member of the European Welding Institute. Further, he is a UK-HSE and IMCA (AODC) Certified Diving Supervisor ( Air, Gas & Saturation ) . He has obtained Certifications for Weld Procedure Test to ASME9 Certification, Defects in Fusion Welds, CSWIP Underwater Inspection, Light Fabrication Welding & Pipefitting, Saturation Diving and Mechanical Engineering Craft Studies .
